Rome, March 11, 2025 - Rome confirms itself as the capital of fashion, training and creativity

FORMA - Perspectives of Fashion, Art and Creativity, the first festival entirely dedicated to the young talents of the city's Fashion Academies. A unique event, with all the Roman institutes together to promote a Rome system in the fashion and design sector, with an exceptional stage for the talents of the future.

Rome, March 11, 2025

The initiative is promoted by Roma Capitale, Department of Fashion, Tourism, Sport and Major Events, led by Alessandro Onorato, and by the Lazio Region with the Department of Economic Development, Commerce, Crafts, Industry and Internationalization, under the leadership of Roberta Angelilli.

Hundreds of students from the most important fashion and design academies in the capital will be the true protagonists of the event, presenting their ideas, projects and creative visions. FORMA will be a space for dialogue and experimentation where young talents can interact with each other, with the public and with experts in the sector.

An immersive experience between Exhibition, Talks, Showcases and Performances: for two days, La Nuvola will be transformed into a large creative workshop, with a program full of events.

Talks and Conversations: creative directors, influencers and professionals from the fashion and art sector will discuss key themes such as Art and Fashion, narrating the dialogue between two worlds that have always been intertwined, with the participation of artists and curators. There will be discussions on sustainability and innovation and the future of fashion through green materials, ethical production and new technologies, with a focus also on fashion professions and their evolution, fashion and social media, storytelling and new professional perspectives. The themes of Fashion and Cinema will also be addressed, the link between clothes and visual narration and the evolution of collaborations between film costume designers and major brands. And finally, the increasingly intertwined pairing of Fashion and Music, starting from the construction of the artist's image and the relationship with major brands, which increasingly use the media to increase their visibility and prestige. Among the speakers, Giancarlo Giammetti, Maria Grazia Chiuri, Marco de Vincenzo, Paolo Stella, the artist Alfredo Pirri, the Deputy Director of Prime Time Entertainment and head of the Sanremo Festival Claudio Fasulo, the costume designer Carlo Poggioli and many others.

Performances: evocative performances in spaces dedicated to the dialogue between art and fashion in which important artists will express and share their creativity. Francesco Colucci will present a live dressing performance with his muse Diamondpeachlollypop, using garments, fabrics and scraps, he will build a work that experiments with layers, volumes and shapes, finding new and unconventional uses for clothes and other artifacts. Donatella Spaziani presents an installation that combines fashion and poetry, in which the chair, a furnishing accessory, becomes a stylistic narrative medium. Caterina Silva will offer a painting performance on fabric, through color and gestures in search of new expressive forms.

The Exhibition will be an exhibition itinerary that celebrates the role of training fashion talents in Rome, through the clothes, accessories and special projects from the archives of the fashion academies. A scenographic setting with a strong visual and immersive impact will show the past and present of the students' work, narrating the evolution of style and fashion teaching in Rome.

Showcases, spaces in which students from the different Academies will stage their creative process in a dialogue capable of stimulating new ideas and comparisons through the creation of their collections in real "open-air" workshops.

FORMA is an unmissable event for those who want to discover and learn about new trends and emerging talents in the world of fashion and art. The event is open to everyone, with particular attention to a young audience, made up of high school students, professionals in the sector and fashion and art enthusiasts.
