Accademia Italiana takes part in the project Grand Tour AFAM
The GRAND TOUR AFAM project aims to promote the role of AFAM institutions abroad in the preservation and enhancement of Italian culture and lifestyle through a series of initiatives focused on Italian creativity. The project lasts a total of 24 months and is divided into two phases: "Creating in Italy" and "Networking". The first phase takes place in Italy over a 12-month period, while the second phase takes place abroad in the following 12 months. Each initiative, carried out in synergy between the partner institutions in terms of complementarity, highlights the centrality of students and their active participation, involving them in programming, design, and the production of innovative content, with students playing a leading role in artistic productions open to the public.
CREATING IN ITALY means creating a research and creative production path involving students, teachers, researchers, and international experts through the organization of workshops, exhibitions, events, conferences, and other forms of exchange and study. To promote the knowledge of AFAM institutions, a schedule of meetings will be arranged in various Italian cities: a journey through the territories to discover the best artistic and cultural realities of the country.
NETWORKING means creating an international contest for students of AFAM institutions and an AFAM roadshow abroad. The contest will allow active participation from students, who will represent Italy, beauty, and aesthetics, while the roadshow will offer a detailed program of events dedicated to the foreign network.
The project, coordinated by RUFA, has the participation of 16 partners with common goals: 14 AFAM institutions and 2 public institutions, the University La Sapienza with the Digilab Research Center, and the National Research Council with the Institute for Cultural Heritage Sciences.
