New partnership signed with SLALOM

The collaboration between Accademia Italiana and Slalom, a leading company in sustainable acoustic solutions for architecture, sees first-year students of the MA courses in Interior Design and Product Design, supervised by lecturer Christian Ludovici, engaged in special projects of soundproofing products within usual and unusual contexts.

In the Project Culture course, students are engaged in designing starting from the study of the actions and functions of specific environments, hypothesizing products with innovative sound-absorbing characteristics.

Inspirations are drawn from art to generate beauty and wonder, from the wellness world to create sophisticated environments where calm is the protagonist, but also from the need to create comfort in working environments, on means of transport or in industries, where noise is definitely central.

The first proposals presented to the company show studies of a lamp made up of sound-absorbing panels that transforms the acoustic experience of environments into a luminous and functional piece of art; seats and products for dividing spaces that create privacy and experiences of absolute individual well-being; games and decorative elements for children and accessories for means of transport that reduce noise where it is most needed, acting on the need for comfort and safety in the workplace.
