Nosotras and Accademia Italiana are collaborating on an upcycling project with GEST, transforming 15 uniforms donated by the tramway company into unique pieces. Some garments will be showcased in a final event. An initiative that combines design, sustainability, and inclusion.

Since 1998, Nosotras has been a point of reference for women, both Italian and migrant, offering support, training, and safe spaces to counter isolation and gender-based violence. Over time, the association has expanded its commitment, adopting an intercultural and intersectional approach to drive real social change.

From this vision comes "Da divise a Uniche", the partnership between Nosotras and Accademia Italiana—a project that intertwines sustainability, creativity, and inclusion, involving second-year students from the Bachelor's course in Fashion Design. In collaboration with GEST, the initiative aims to give new life to the old uniforms of the company that manages Florence’s tram network.

Through an upcycling process, students will transform 15 donated uniforms into unique pieces. Some materials will also be combined with fabrics to create unique and experimental designs, which will be showcased in a final fashion event. The creations will then be auctioned, with all proceeds going toward Nosotras’ initiatives.

More than just a creative challenge, "Da divise a Uniche" is an opportunity to merge design, sustainability, and social impact, breathing new life not only into fabrics but also into the stories of those involved.
