Unwaited” is a project that brings together photography and set design to explore complex themes such as eating disorders, censorship, and depersonalization, inviting the viewer to engage with what escapes aesthetic, cultural, and social norms.

The exhibition, set up by the students of the second year of Photography and the third year Design in the spaces of the Accademia Italiana's Rome headquarters, invites us to reflect on how interactions between space, identity and everyday objects can reveal unexpected stories.

The photographs and sets establish a visual dialogue that transcends the boundaries of the ordinary. Each image and space serves as an invitation to explore the unexpected and the subversive, revealing how the ordinary can be a starting point for extraordinary revelations.

The exhibition transforms the everyday environment, showing how invisible details and unusual perspectives can lead to new insights, provoking deep reflection on how we see ourselves and the world around us.

With its bold, unconventional approach, "Unwaited" encourages looking beyond the surface to discover a fluid, ever-evolving reality.

Each photograph becomes an opportunity to explore the relationship between space, identity, and objects, while the sets create environments that provoke and interrogate, blurring the line between what is normal and what is unexpected.

The collaboration between two different courses encourages the exchange of ideas and approaches to generate new visions, stimulating critical discussions on aesthetic and functional norms and creating an engaging experience for the audience.
