Rinascita: Chiara Mangani receives the Giuliacarla Cecchi 2024 award

The Giuliacarla Cecchi Prize is an international award dedicated to young talents in the fashion industry. Established by Pola Cecchi, daughter of the Florentine designer, the prize celebrates innovation, creativity, and commitment to design, offering winners visibility and opportunities for professional growth.

Chiara Mangani, a recent graduate in Fashion Design from Accademia Italiana, was awarded on November 13th for her project inspired by Brunelleschi’s dome. Rinascita seeks to transform architecture into a dynamic element through the movement of the female body.

Mangani explained that the idea for the project was born out of her desire to celebrate her city, Florence, with a personal and artistic approach. “I wanted to highlight my most sensitive and poetic side” Chiara said, “the one that defines my creations”.

Chiara shared that she chose the Fashion Design program because she was looking for a course that combined creativity, innovation, and tradition. Additionally, the opportunity to study in a city like Florence served as a great source of inspiration. “I’ve always had a deep passion for fashion, and since I was 8 years old, I knew this was the path I wanted to follow”.

During the interview, we asked Chiara if she thought this award might influence her professional future: “It’s an important confirmation of my abilities and a motivation to keep believing in my style”. Chiara, who is currently working in a leading company in the textile and clothing sector in Prato, dreams of creating her own brand, bringing innovative and authentic ideas to the market.

Chiara concluded with advice for aspiring designers: “Believe in your dreams and work authentically. With determination and commitment, any goal is achievable”.
