Visual fragments: the theatre portrayed through videos

The new partnership with Murmuris will involve second-year students from the three-year Photography program in the creation of video pills dedicated to the performances of the Materia Prima Festival.

Founded in 2013 by Murmuris, Materia Prima is a contemporary theater festival that has brought a wide selection of innovative performances to Florence over the years. Each year, it provides a stage for both theater masters and emerging talents, with the goal of making theater a vibrant and shared experience across generations.

This year, the festival will explore the theme of failure, offering a reflection on its many facets and the possibilities for renewal that it carries. A powerful theme, which students will investigate through their videos, presenting a personal and contemporary perspective.

Thanks to this new collaboration, students will have the opportunity to interpret and narrate the festival from a unique point of view, contributing to the promotion of the performances with a fresh and creative approach
